Hot Mess Lit: Product & Subscription Box Review Policy
Listen—I’m here for the books, but sometimes I can’t resist a good product or subscription box. When I find something that sparks my interest (or my frustration), you’ll hear about it. But let’s set the ground rules.
What I Review

Subscription boxes: I love them, I hoard them, and I have way too many opinions about them. If a box is intriguing, unique, or just plain ridiculous, I’ll give it a shot.

Products: If something catches my eye—especially kitchen gear, homesteading supplies, or handcrafted goodies—I’ll put it to the test. But I don’t do random fluff pieces for stuff I don’t care about.
How I Review

Honest, unfiltered, and slightly chaotic. If it’s great, I’ll rave about it. If it’s disappointing, I won’t sugarcoat my review just because a brand wants me to.

No paid reviews, no fake enthusiasm—just real opinions based on my actual experience.

I don’t rate things with stars or numbers. I break it down: Usefulness, Quality, Aesthetic, and Whether I’d Actually Buy It Again.
How to Request a Review

Brands and creators can contact me via email (hotmesslit@gmail.com)

Tell me why your product or subscription box belongs on Hot Mess Lit. If it aligns with my interests and vibe, I might give it a go.

No guarantees! I review what excites me, and I won’t waste time on things that don’t - which is GREAT for you!
Sponsored Content & PR Samples

If you send me a product or subscription box to review, that doesn’t mean I’ll post about it. I only feature things I find genuinely interesting.

If I do share a review, it’ll be honest—whether you love what I say or not.

Reviews may appear on my blog, TikTok, or social media, depending on how much the product amuses me.
